Harry Potter Nerd Glasses
The Blind Boy's Friend
I have been wearing nerd glasses since I was discovered to be half blind from near-sightedness at age 6. And yes, in this telling, all glasses are nerd glasses. I have to call it the way I see it. Long before Harry Potter made glasses popular, they weren't.

Four Eyes
There were a whole list of unpleasant but really funny names and descriptions for those who wear glasses, like blind as a bat, and so on. My personal favorite is Mr. Magoo.
If you are wondering why a magical kid like Harry Potter even needs glasses, the answer is not so simple. Probably that would come under the No Profiting From Magic Rule. This is an important rule - no matter what magic is being made.

Looking For My Glasses
Kudos to you, Harry Potter, wear 'em like you don't need 'em.
Tradition rules and I still wear glasses. I still misplace them and wander around blindly looking for them. Anything that is the right size gets groped. I have tried to get my dog to help. But he always looks at me like I'm a little off. The cat thinks I'm a lot off, but that is another matter.
I dream of a honing device or low jack of some kind to help me in the location process. But then I'd have to do keys, remotes, books, etc. and the ensuing noise level would be crazy when I finally lose it and punch the find button, repeatedly I might add. Sirens and howls let loose. I am sure I would be so startled I would probably break the glasses.
Nerd Glasses
Glasses don't make the nerd. But they sure don't hurt!
Besides, nerds are lovely people.
