Dog Cookies - Milk-Bone
Cookies For Dogs
Dogs love treats, food, and anything remotely edible, whether it is people food, cat food, or treats for dogs. My boy, Jackson Blue, loves his biscuits. Even though he is a fairly big dog, I buy the little Milk-Bones so I can give him lots of treats. They also help to satisfy his need to bite hard, if not chew. The biscuits have to be big ones for him to chew on and then it is probably only about thirty seconds, so I just go with the little ones. Nothing is written in stone.
Love For Dogs
Dogs believe, just as many humans do, that food equals love, affection, and all that is good in the universe. So the special hand feeding items have a bit more meaning to them. They not only get to nuzzle up close and personal, they also get something special, something that is not their regular everyday fare.

Training
How to be a good dog is a very important consideration. It was not always easy for Jackson Blue to listen because his attention span is incredibly short. And I have no trouble understanding that since I also have an attention span problem. Because of biscuits, Jackson has learned to sit, to come, to stay, to lay down, and to shake hands. And he learned all of these things because he likes the Milk-Bones dog biscuits.

Good Behavior
We also specifically reinforce his good behavior at times. We'll take a run through the commands for quality control. When new dog behavior surfaces that we do not want, we use biscuits to help convince Jackson of that.
