Come Little Fairy

I was just going to say something pithy about fairy tales when I clearly saw a fairy dart behind this giant stone mushroom. And then I knew for sure that fairies are real!

I've always been suspicious and I usually only see them out of the corner of my eye. Not today. Today I saw that fairy clear as a bell.

Maybe we'll be buddies. I am pretty sure he lives in my garden.

Once, back in olden times . . .

Witch In The Woods, Hansel and Gretel - Authored by Linda M Hahn

Once upon a time, there was a lovely witch in the woods. She adored children and became a foster witch mother. Her heart was full and open and she was one with the Universe. Children came and children went. Years passed as the skinny sad children grew happy and fat before moving on.

Then came the day when Hansel and Gretel showed up and, no doubt, they were a hard case pair. Wild and shrill, damned near evil in their own right, their own parents had taken refuge from them, fleeing in the dead of night. The neighbors dutifully reported this and the authorities took the children into foster care.

They no sooner arrived at the little house in the woods than they started doing drugs and back talking the foster witch mother. They were the talk of the hood, especially once they started a street gang. It mostly was an excuse to torment the other children; but still, there was a big city feel to it and that, in itself, was in no way acceptable.

Enough was quite enough. "Come, my pretties." said the lovely foster witch mother. And she took them straight to a boot camp for rotten kids. This was just the ticket for the children; they straightened their acts up and returned to the little house in the woods. Ever after, Hansel and Gretel honored and respected the foster witch mother.

Princess And The Pea, Princess O Mine

Authored by Linda M Hahn

The princess was a delicate child, born from a long line of delicate women. It was widely known that her mother would have a very hard time accepting a son-in-law. 'Twould be a true test of a man's bravery to get past Mother.

It was joked about throughout the land, that a man would have to have supernatural abilities to win the princess. But the princess was very, very hot. And men being men, and wanting what's not necessarily good for them, couldn't stop thinking about her. Princess this and Princess that.

It started as a verbal contest, with one-upmanship flying itself across the land. 'For the princess' became a battle cry, from street brawls to organized feats of strength. It became evident to the King and Queen that matters needed to be settled. They began to plot and connive.

Before all the uproar, the princess was considered a bit spoiled, a bit uppity, not really out of character for royalty. Could've been worse, she didn't run around shouting "Off with their heads!" at the drop of a hat.

My fairy name is Bramble Icefrost. She is a bone chilling bringer of justice for the vulnerable. She lives in leafy dells and bluebell glades. She is only seen during the first snow of winter. She wears bluebell-blue dresses. She has icy blue butterfly wings.
