Sauerkraut Sandwich, The Reuben
Reuben Sandwich
Reuben Sandwich
I was born a Midwesterner and when I haven't been home in a while, I start craving the luscious Reuben sauerkraut sandwichs. I'm talking rye bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing, to be precise. I could tear one up right now!
Ok then.

Tear It Up
If I haven't said it before, I am saying it now, I could tear up a Reuben this second. I would barely taste it, I want it so bad. Just the aroma alone . . .
It is time for me to head back to Ohio, land of my birth, home of my family. OMG, now I am getting teary-eyed. But if you loved Reubens the way I love Reubens . . .

Give Me A Reuben
Also I get seriously hungry if I see a Reuben, or even if I think about one. This page has been created to acknowledge and to honor the Reuben.
I'll have a sweet tea with that please.
Cabbage Born
The critical ingredient in a Reuben is delicious sauerkraut. Yes indeed, and sauerkraut is made of pickled cabbage. Grilled rye bread, pastrami or corned beef, melted Swiss cheese, oh yeah! Put a scoop of sauerkraut on that and a dollap of rich dressing. Pickle on the side and some chips.
You may think that you've died and gone to heaven. Yeah, it's that good. That's how you know that you've got yourself a sandwich!
Comfort Is An Art Form
There's no comfort like comfort food! This is the law as I say unto you. Sounds like the Soup Nazi on "Seinfeld".
